This privacy policy explains how Okanagan AeroBarrier ("we", "us") collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information when you visit https://www.okaerobarrier.com or contact us for an AeroBarrier quote. We comply with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable BC privacy law.
What we collect
- Contact form submissions: name, email, phone (optional), and the project details you provide.
- Email correspondence: the contents of any email you send to hello@okaerobarrier.com and our reply thread.
- Phone calls: we do not record calls. Notes taken during a call are stored in our CRM only for the purpose of replying or quoting.
- Site analytics: aggregated, non-identifying traffic data via privacy-friendly analytics. We do not use ad-tracking pixels.
- Server logs: standard request data (IP, user-agent, referrer, timestamp) retained for security and debugging, then rotated.
How we use it
- To respond to your enquiry and prepare a written quote.
- To carry out the project you've engaged us for, including coordinating with your builder and energy advisor.
- To send you final blower-door reports and project documentation.
- To meet our legal, regulatory, tax, and accounting obligations.
- To improve the site and our service — using only aggregated, non-identifying data.
Who we share it with
We don't sell your data. We share personal information only with:
- Service providers acting on our behalf (form processor, email host, accounting software) bound by their own privacy and security commitments.

How we protect it
Email and form submissions are transmitted over HTTPS. Stored personal information is access-controlled and reviewed periodically. We retain project data for the period required by tax law (typically 7 years) and delete or anonymize earlier when feasible.
Cookies
This site uses minimal cookies — only what is required for basic functionality. We do not currently use third-party advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, or cross-site tracking.
